Catlin Gabel’s Sammy Wells is The Oregonian/OregonLive girls soccer player of the week for the week of Sept. 8, as voted by subscribers.

On Sept. 9, the junior scored the games only goal as the Class 3A/2A/1A Eagles stunned Class 6A West Salem 1-0. She then had two goals and an assist in a 9-1 win against Rainier/Clatskanie/Knappa on Sept. 11.
