(KRON) — A 22-year-old corrections deputy with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office died while off duty Thursday.
Paramedics were called to the 4000 block of Taylor Avenue in Santa Rosa around 6:50 p.m. and found that deputy Kylee Johnson had suffered fatal injuries. While authorities suspect she may have fallen off her horse, her cause of death is currently unknown.
“At this time, it is unclear whether the fall was the cause of her passing or if a medical event occurred,” the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said. “The exact cause of death remains under investigation.”
