LAS VEGAS — The Idaho State women's soccer team heads into the beginning of conference play with a boost of confidence after beating UNLV for the first time since 2000.

On Thursday night, the Bengals shut out the Running Rebels 2-0 for their first win over a Mountain West Conference opponent since beating Wyoming 3-0 in 2023. Co-captains Mary Za and Saydree Cooke scored the ISU goals, while freshman goalkeeper Hannah Wieler recorded her second shutout of the season.
