Friday night's high school football game between Central (El Centro) and Coachella Valley has been canceled due to poor field conditions following Thursday's rain storm.

The game was to be played at 7 p.m. at Coachella Valley High School, but the school sent out a social post Friday at 1:15 p.m. saying "Good afternoon CVHS families. Tonight's varsity football game has been canceled due to yesterday's heavy rainstorms. For the safety of our student-athletes, we came to the decision to cancel."
