Man accused in Lexington bus stop shooting was wearing an ankle monitor at the time

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police have arrested one person in connection with a shooting that happened at a bus stop in broad daylight.

At 11:08 a.m. Thursday, the Lexington Fire Department was called to the intersection of Winburn Drive and McCullough Drive for reports of someone who’d been shot.

When they arrived, Lexington Police say they found a man with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital.

Late Thursday night, a WKYT crew saw a large presence of Lexington Police and ATF officers at a home on Winburn Drive , the same block where the shooting happened.

Police later confirmed they were there to serve a search warrant, but wouldn’t say whether anyone was arrested.
