A psychic working for an online hotline service operating out of Australia has taken the company to court alleging he was unfairly dismissed.

Medium Leonard Dawe applied for an unfair dismissal remedy under the Fair Work Act after he was dumped from his job as a psychic reader for the company, Psychic TV, in April.

Mr Dawe had worked for the outlet since November 2021.

In April, he was advised his access to the TV service’s online platform had been withdrawn and his services were no longer required.

Mr Dawe applied to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) for an unfair dismissal remedy.

Psychic TV allows members of the public to phone psychic readers employed by the company and receive a reading - usually lasting 30 minutes.
