FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Alive Community Outreach is celebrating 5 years of operation in 21Country.
The local nonprofit organization will be hosting Peace Week activities starting this weekend to mark the milestone.
The activities begin with a Day of Remembrance vigil at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 20.
Then, from Monday, September 22 to Saturday, September 27, the nonprofit will visit local schools and community organizations to highlight Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Six Principles of Nonviolence and participate in the Be the Peace campaign.
Lastly, on Tuesday, September 23, the organization will host a 5-year celebration breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Clyde Theatre.
