PEORIA, Ill. – A woman has been released from pretrial custody after her arrest early Friday morning for allegedly stabbing her ex-boyfriend in the stomach in Northwest Peoria.

The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says a petition to detain 23-year-old Nicole Keller of Germantown Hills was denied on Friday, citing a non-extensive criminal history.

Prosecutors say police arrived at a house in the area of Rockwell and Castleton just after midnight, seeing blood on the front stoop and broken glass.

The victim told police he was home with a roommate when Keller allegedly banged on a door and broke a window, then swung a baseball bat at him when he tried to get Keller to leave.
