ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — The annual "Stand Down" event at the Veterans Affairs headquarters in Rocky Hill was Friday.
The event is a chance to lend a hand to veterans and servicemembers who need it.
"All the agencies that have come together, a one-stop shop to provide services for all of you. That is what government does – it helps people," Connecticut Dept. of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Tony Guerrera said.
Connecticut agencies offer a wide range of services to veterans, from housing and legal assistance to education, medical screenings and employment opportunities.
