AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta has been awarded $100,000 through Georgia’s Farm to Food Bank Program.

This is a statewide initiative aimed at reducing food insecurity while supporting local farmers.

Announced by Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper, $825,000 in total was awarded to eight regional food banks.

The program is a partnership between the Georgia Department of Agriculture and Feeding Georgia.
