All this week, Your Alaska Link's Trill Gates has been in Washington, D.C., meeting with Alaska’s congressional delegation to discuss the issues that matter most to Alaskans.

She began the week with Congressman Nick Begich , now nine months into his term. They discussed energy, healthcare, and the state of the economy.

When asked how he thought President Donald Trump was doing in regard to inflation and making America affordable again, Begich responded: “I think he's doing a great job of it. We're eight months in for the presidency, nine months in for this Congress. Inflation is down relative to where it was under Biden.”
