TWIN FALLS — Who knew a rock-paper-scissors contest could be so entertaining?
Representatives from 32 organizations, often dressed in colorful costumes, gathered Thursday at the Twin Falls Downtown Commons for a contest of luck, with some skill thrown in, in a friendly competition to earn thousands of dollars for charities of their choice.
The event was the annual Rock Paper Scissors Tournament of Champions, hosted by First Federal Bank. Competitors, many of whom wore costumes, were whittled down as the popular game, also called Ro Sham Bo, progressed. The ultimate "champion of champions" was the Higley Group, which won $7,500 for Valley House Homeless Shelter.
