MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Nineteen-year-old Trevon Loston has been charged in the fatal police chase and crash that killed three people Tuesday, Sept. 16, near 35th and Vilet.

He's charged with bail jumping, driving a vehicle without the owner's consent and possession of a firearm.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement officers attempted to stop a 2017 white Dodge Journey with no plates that was speeding east at the intersection of W. Center St. and N. Sherman Blvd. Police activated their lights, but the vehicle did not pull over and a chase ensued.

The chase came to an end when the Dodge ran a red light near 35th and Vilet and struck a 2006 Mazda Sedan with five people in it. Three people in the Mazda were killed, and two others seriously injured.
