A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the death of another teenager in south Manchester this week. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (September 20).
Tributes were paid to Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe, 15, who died after he was stabbed Moss Lane East in Moss Side just after 4.30pm on Monday night (September 15).
Police say that ongoing enquiries have identified a potentially linked incident that they responded to at Whitworth Park half an hour before Goobe's death.
GMP has referred their response to this incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as a mandatory referral.
