CLEVELAND (WJW) - Cleveland Councilman Mike Polensek said a teen was shot and killed leaving a deli on the city's east side Friday evening.

According to Polensek, the shooting happened on E. 185th Street around 7 p.m.

"Absolutely disgusted by this senseless violence," Polensek told the FOX 8 I-Team. "It's a beautiful night and this happens. There is no respect for life."

We reached out to Cleveland police for more information.

Polensek said he believes the victim was 17-years-old.
