GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 437 and its Associates held their annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony today at the South Park War Memorial to honor U.S. service members who never came home from war.
"The families of these people, of these men, that never came home, think about them daily, as all American's should. These men gave their life for our county and should never, never be forgotten," said Ken Juza, President of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224, Green Bay.
Since WWII until today, there are still 88,000 bodies that never came home. We have to remember them.
The event coincided with the national POW/MIA Recognition Day, which falls each year on the third Friday in September.
