What began as a routine FaceTime conversation between a mother and daughter quickly turned into a scene of terror when a trailer home in Jurupa Valley went up in flames last week.
Kristin Buchanan, who lives in Ohio, was speaking with her mother, Twila Pore, when Pore arrived at the 40-foot travel trailer where she lived with her boyfriend off Pedley Road. As Pore pulled in, the two were still chatting when smoke and fire suddenly filled the screen.
“As she got closer she started to panic and then she pulled in and got out of the car and turned the camera and the whole home was engulfed in flames,” Buchanan recalled.
