EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - The leaves are changing color and the morning air has a chill, which means homecoming is right around the corner for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students and alumni.
"Homecoming is one of the most lasting, enduring traditions that bring together not just the campus community but also the greater Eau Claire community, the parade of course being one of the best examples of that," Greg Kocken, UW-Eau Claire's head of special collections and archives, said.
What makes this homecoming especially important is it's the 100th anniversary.
According to Kocken, the university's first official homecoming celebration was in 1925, with students at the time being inspired by other colleges and wanting to bring that same tradition to UW-Eau Claire. While there was an unoffi
