HELENA — Makayla Coleman grew up four hours south of Denver, following her father’s new job to Bozeman as a fresh-faced high schooler. At that point in life, playing sports collegiately didn’t seem possible to Coleman, but a breakout junior campaign featuring two state titles for the Gallatin Raptors quickly changed those prospects.
Monday, Coleman announced her commitment to Carroll College women’s basketball, becoming the fourth recruit in head coach Rachelle Sayers’ 2026 class. Coleman, at 6-foot-2, possesses a rare blend of size, length and athleticism, Sayers said, a key piece to Carroll’s post-Meagan Karstetter and Isabelle Erickson roster.
