GREENPOINT, Brooklyn (PIX11) — New Yorkers are getting a taste of Peru this weekend at the Peru Mucho Gusto festival, celebrating the country’s food, culture, and traditions.
The event, which takes center stage at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse, gives attendees a chance to immerse themselves in the country’s culture and traditions.
Eliot Salome-Diaz is a first-generation Peruvian American who loves that his heritage is being shared with the community.
“It opens the door to people to discover and open conversations of the richness of what Peru brings to the table,” he said. “Not just the food but its diversity of its beautiful culture.”
