MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman wanted out of Nashville was arrested after a traffic stop on Friday night, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

MJPD said an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on East Division Street.

During the stop, the officer discovered the 31-year-old woman in the vehicle was wanted out of Nashville for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She has been wanted since May.

The Lebanon woman was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail, where she awaits transfer to Nashville.

“We’re grateful for the vigilance and dedication of our officers who work tirelessly to keep Mt. Juliet safe,” MJPD said.
