LUDINGTON — The S.S. Badger collided with its sister ship, the S.S. Spartan in Ludington Harbor on Wednesday.

Company spokesman Tom Hawley said the engines did not respond to the captain’s order while backing into the loading apron.
No one was hurt and the Badger’s ferry service resumed on Thursday, but the extent of the damage to the badger’s sea gate is still being assessed.
The S.S. Badger is the last coal-fired steamship operating in the U.S.
