NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Days after Hollywood legend Robert Redford died, a woman is trying to find the New Mexicans who took part in a film that Redford produced and directed in the Land of Enchantment. She is using an old photo to do it.
Redford's biggest tie to New Mexico was his work on the 1988 film "The Milagro Beanfield War," all shot in Truchas. "I think it opened the door for New Mexico to be a candidate for more film work. I had worked in a film prior to it, but it was very small," said Victoria Plata, who worked with Redford as the coordinator for extras on the film.
