The following is a round-up of junior hockey games played Friday night involving Okanagan teams.
Spokane 8 Kelowna 2
Spokane Chiefs spoiled the Kelowna Rockets 30th anniversary home opener party leaving Prospera Place with an 8-2 win, Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Chase Harrington and Coco Armstrong each scored twice in the victory.
Connor Pankratz and Kalder Varga scored in a losing effort. The Chiefs led 4-0 at the end of the first; 6-1 at the end of the second.
The Rockets now remain idle until Sept. 26 when they play their first road game of the season in Penticton.
Victoria 5 Penticton 0
In Victoria, Penticton Vees lost their first ever WHL game 5-0 to Victoria Royals.
