Eastbound M-29 (Green Street) in New Baltimore will be closed for resurfacing beginning at 7 a.m. Sept. 25.The closure, which will last through 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, will stretch from Huntley Street to Murdick Drive, according to a community announcement. Westbound M-29 will remain open but will be reduced to one lane. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via eastbound Main Street to reach eastbound M-29 (Green Street/Main Street).
The work is part of a $3.2 million investment to resurface M-29 between Baker Road and the St. Clair County line. The project also includes upgrading sidewalk curb ramps, improving pedestrian traffic signals and restriping permanent pavement markings in New Baltimore and Chesterfield Township.
