The City of Joondalup and WA Police have joined forces to monitor Central Park under a new partnership aimed at boosting community safety and care in the area.

Teams are now patrolling Central Park each morning, with evening shifts to be gradually added, engaging with park-goers, addressing litter and noise concerns, and offering help where needed.

WA’s Uniting Church HEART program (Homeless Engagement, Assessment Response Team) is also involved with the initiative, offering assistance and support to those facing hardship and referring them to support services.

Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob described the partnership as a genuine team effort and an example of how working together can deliver tangible benefits to the community.
