BUDGETARY GUESSWORK: Schools call on families for funding support

TRAVERSE CITY — Schools across the region are spreading the word and rallying parents to take action to protect school funding — by filling out free and reduced meals paperwork.

Families have less than two weeks left to submit the Free and Reduced Family Meal Magic forms, distributed by the Michigan Department of Education, which help determine what type of aid not only families, but the schools themselves, qualify for.
