Luckily, we spoke with designer Emily Anderson of O’Hara Interiors , headquartered in Minneapolis, to help boost your curb appeal with some front porch decorating "don'ts," plus a few pointers of our own.

“The all-white trend has started to go out of style, both inside and outside of homes,” Anderson says. Good! Because the upkeep is hard. For flooring, she likes neutral colors, like medium brown.
