GOUVERNEUR, New York (WWNY) - Over the weekend, Gouverneur celebrated their 14th annual Pumpkin Festival.

Across Saturday and Sunday, guests had a wide array of of events to participate in, including a craft show, petting zoo, wagon rides, an antique car show, and of course, the annual pumpkin drop.

The money earned during this year’s pumpkin festival will help fund the Gouverneur/St. Lawrence County fair.

Gouverneur’s Pumpkin Fest organizers say it was a year bigger than any other... an upward trend they hope will continue next year.

“It’s growing every year so more vendors are coming out and just selling different items that they have,” said Associate Director of the festival Sean Peck. “Family- just family fun, that’s what this is about. It’s about families.“
