CORRALES, N.M. (KRQE) – A Corrales local, who went missing nearly 10 years ago, was honored alongside search and rescue teams at an annual fundraiser. The Corrales Ditch Run is celebrating its 29th year in action, but for the last nine, the celebrations have also included a nod to longtime Corrales resident Dave Cook.

His 2016 disappearance left a mark on the small village. So, in an effort to heal, Cook's wife teamed up with event coordinators for the Ditch Run. "This event means so much to our family, it really is all about honoring Dave and all that he not just meant to us, but to this community and to the outdoor community," says race director Marueen Cook.
