New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) In a significant move to bolster maritime security and deepen bilateral defence ties, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, embarked on a four-day official visit to Sri Lanka.
During his visit, from September 22 to 25, Admiral Tripathi is scheduled to meet Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Harini Amarasuriya, along with the three Service Chiefs and senior government officials.
The discussions will focus on enhancing maritime security, capacity building, joint training initiatives, and exploring new avenues for cooperation across a broad spectrum of defence matters, a Defence Ministry statement said.
