Brief session likely to begin in 3rd or 4th week
Srinagar, Sep 21: The cabinet is set to meet on Tuesday to take a final decision on several proposals, including a recommendation to the Lieutenant Governor for convening the autumn session of the assembly.
Sources said that the cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is expected to meet on Tuesday to propose a date to the Lieutenant Governor for convening the autumn session of the assembly.
“The session is expected to begin in the third or fourth week of October. It could start on any day between October 20 and 27. The cabinet would take Diwali celebrations into account before finalising its recommendation,” they said.
