SAN ANTONIO — A car drove straight through a storefront on the north side Sunday afternoon, according to San Antonio police.

No one was injured, but the damage to the front of the St. Bernard clothing store is extensive.

SAPD told KENS 5 on Wednesday that the driver may face a charge of reckless driving if the criteria for the offense are met and determined by investigators.

At the time of the incident, it appeared to be an accident by the driver.

SAPD said that around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, they received a call for a major accident involving a vehicle at the 900 block of East Basse Road.

Inside the store was a manager, a customer and her daughter who wished to remain anonymous. The witness told KENS 5 they were inches away from the car hitting them.
