KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Olivia Copeland, the daughter of late Olathe Mayor Michael Copeland, was killed over the weekend after she fell from a cliffside in Idaho Springs, Colorado.

According to the Idaho Springs Police Department, at about 3:05 p.m. on Saturday, officers and emergency responders were called to AVA Rafting and Zipline, at 431 Highway 103, on reports of a female climber who had fallen.

When medics arrived, they reported finding the climber, later identified as 26-year-old Olivia Copeland from Fort Collins, Colorado. Before moving, Olivia was a Kansas-native, having attended Olathe Northwest High School and graduated from Kansas State University.

Police said Olivia was an employee of AVA Rafting and Zipline and was reportedly guiding a group of customers on the Mount Blue Sky
