A second post-mortem of Zubeen Garg is currently underway at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), following which the late Assamese singer's funeral procession will begin. His cremation will take place at a government-allotted land in Sonapur later in the day.

The autopsy, originally scheduled for 7.30 am, was preponed by four hours and started at 3 am. The second post-mortem came in the wake of public demands for clarity over the legendary singer’s death during a scuba diving accident in Singapore on September 19.

Meanwhile, throngs of mourners have already started gathering outside the GMCH to catch a glimpse of their beloved singer for the last time.
