Shillong, Sep 23: Meghalaya have picked up a total of six medals on the first two days of the 36th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2025, which is being held in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Today Meghalaya bagged four medals – two silver and two bronze – Meghalaya Athletics Association general secretary Finely L Pariat informed.
In the field events, Renaldi Dhar claimed a silver in the U-20 men’s long jump with a distance of 6.88 metres and Tusame Marak took bronze in the U-18 girls’ javelin with a distance of 35.04m.
On the track, Damika R Lyngdoh came second in the 400m U-20 women’s event with a time of 59.73 seconds and Rukini RT Dkhar captured a bronze medal in the U-16 girls’ 600m with a time of 1:40.79.
On the opening day yesterday Meghalaya picked up one silver and one bronze.
