After not finishing their latest episode on time, Season 27 of Comedy Central’s “South Park” is scheduled to return this week for the release of Episode 5, barring any more last-second changes.

Episode 5 was set to originally air on Tuesday, Sept. 17, but only hours before airtime, Comedy Central announced that the episode would be delayed a week.

"Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don't get it done," creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said in a statement. "This one's on us. We didn't get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!"

Since the season's debut on July 23, the series has mocked the current presidential administration, with portrayals and jokes at the expense of President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

What time does Episode 5 of ‘South Park’ air?

Barring any further delays, Season 27, Episode 5 of "South Park" is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The episode will also be available to stream on Paramount+ the following day, Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT, according to the streaming platform.

How to watch new episodes of 'South Park'

New episodes of "South Park" air on Comedy Central and are then available for streaming on Paramount+ the next day.

Paramount+ Premium is $12.99 per month and includes everything in the Essential plan plus Showtime originals, blockbuster movies and live TV with fewer ads.

In the same news release from Sept. 17, Comedy Central also announced the air dates for Episodes 6 through 10:

  • Episode 6: Oct. 15
  • Episode 7: Oct. 29
  • Episode 8: Nov. 12
  • Episode 9: Nov. 26
  • Episode 10: Dec. 10
