Citizens suffer as BangaloreOne centre in building inaugurated in 2022 yet to function
A `55 lakh multi-purpose building in Basavanagar lies largely unused, forcing residents of Vignana Nagar, Basavanagar, and Ramesh Nagar in KR Puram Assembly constituency to travel several kilometres for basic services such as utility bill payments , Aadhaar updates , and state scheme applications.
The then BBMP allocated funds for constructing the multi-purpose building at Basavanagar Bus Stand and floated a tender in March 2020. The authorities decided to construct a ground-plus-two-floor building at an estimated cost of ` 55 lakh. The ground floor, as per the original plan, was supposed to accommodate Bangalore One Centre.
