Smita challenges Kaleshwaram panel report

Senior IAS officer Smita Sabharwal has filed a petition in the Telangana high court seeking to quash the Justice P C Ghose Commission report on the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, which held her, along with others, responsible for the scam.

Smita challenged the Ghose Commission report, contending that she was not given an opportunity to present her explanation.

She, therefore requested that her name be removed from the report. She also sought interim orders preventing any action against her based on the findings.
