A gunman opened fire at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring two others. The suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

One victim died at the scene and two victims were transported to hospital with gunshot wounds, according to a statement from the Dallas Police Department.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the deaths and injuries in a post on X, formerly Twitter. "There are multiple injuries and fatalities and the shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gunshot wound," Noem said.
