CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians woke up in first place for the first time in 155 days after capturing a 5-2 win Tuesday against the rival Tigers at Progressive Field.

Cleveland’s last lead in the American League Central Division was April 22 when they briefly held a half-game advantage over Detroit. But both the Guards and Tigers have been through a lot since then.
