While the streets of San Antonio are often filled with gritos year round, the city has started its annual Fiestas Patrias event series, meant to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic culture on the nation through mid-October.

From book talks and mariachi performances to catrina makeup tutorials and sci-fi film screenings, there’s something for everyone to celebrate this Hispanic Heritage Month in San Antonio.

Although the celebration officially started last week, here’s a roundup of events you can still attend through next month and beyond.
