PORT ANGELES — A 24-year-old Forks woman was sentenced earlier this month to just over a year in prison after pleading guilty to attempting to elude police, driving under the influence, and three counts of hit-and-run involving occupied vehicles.
Shayla S. Davis was arrested June 19 after a series of hit-and-run crashes in Port Angeles. Police say the incidents began around 5 p.m. that day near First and Penn streets, followed by a second collision near Front and Lincoln. An Elwha Police officer later spotted the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, prompting a pursuit through the city.
During the chase, Davis struck a third vehicle near 11th and C streets before her car was disabled. She was arrested at the scene, processed for DUI, and booked into jail. Investigators also foun
