ST. CLOUD, Minn. — One man is in police custody after a woman died in a stabbing in St. Cloud on Tuesday night.

In a press release Wednesday, St. Cloud Police shared that officers responded to the 1000 block of St. Germaine Street East after someone called 911 and hung up.

Officers found one woman with multiple stab wounds and attempted life-saving care. She later died at St. Cloud Hospital. Police later identified the woman as 24-year-old Falus A Ali.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man from St. Cloud and he is now facing charges related to the death, according to the press release. The man knew the victim and St. Cloud Police say there is no threat to the public.
