Assam CM has announced the setting up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and given it full freedom to investigate the case.

Just a day after the funeral of Assam’s beloved cultural icon Zubeen Garg, a team of Assam Police, led by Additional SP Moromi Das along with two Inspectors and a constable, will depart for Delhi tomorrow carrying the viscera samples for forensic analysis. The viscera will be sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) for detailed toxicology testing to help determine the exact cause of death.
