Proposed class-action filed on behalf of Canadian Roblox users in B.C. Supreme Court

Roblox has become the latest online-gaming platform to face a lawsuit in Canada with a proposed class-action lawsuit by a 12-year-old in B.C. who alleges the popular website was designed to addict children.

The plaintiff, anonymized as D.J. and represented by a parent, G.J., because he’s a minor, started playing at the website at age five or six and began showing signs of addiction shortly after, according to the lawsuit filed against Roblox Corp. and Roblox Canada in B.C. Supreme Court.
