An appeal has been launched after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a train from Birmingham .

The victim was on board a service from New Street Station to London Euston, when she was reportedly assaulted by a man she was sitting next to.

The incident happened just after 6.35pm on Wednesday 30 July.

British Transport Police have released the image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the allegation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact them.
