WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — The Willoughby House Inn , a 20,000-square-foot estate once left vacant, has been restored to its 1902 grandeur and is offering guests a taste of Cleveland’s Gilded Age — whether for a single night or an extravagant weekend.
The historic property south of downtown Willoughby, listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Julia F. Boyce Country Estate, recently reopened following a two-year renovation led by owners Mike and Marcia Neundorfer.
The project has earned the Cleveland Restoration Society’s Excellence in Adaptive Use of a Historic Building Award and the Western Willoughby Chamber of Commerce Showcase Award.
