BEREA — There's an epilogue to Andre Szmyt's Week 3 redemption story.

Three days after Szmyt kicked the Browns to a 13-10 win over the Green Bay Packers with a 55-yard field goal as time expired, the NFL recognized him for the performance. The league named the first-year kicker as the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week.

Szmyt made both of his field goal attempts in the win over the Packers. He also had a 35-yard field goal with 3:38 remaining that pulled Cleveland within 10-3, and made a game-tying PAT after Quinshon Judkins' 1-yard run with 3:01 remaining. Buy Cleveland Browns tickets
