LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week following a four-touchdown performance in a romp of the Cowboys.

Williams registered a career-high 142.6 passer rating going 19/28 for 298 yards and four touchdowns.

He looked in command of the office and was getting the team out of the huddle sooner than previous weeks, which is something head coach Ben Johnson has been striving for.

Williams and company pulled off the first trick play of the Johnson regime in the first quarter Sunday — connecting to rookie Luther Burden on a 65-yard flee flicker. The former number one pick's arm talent was clearly on display as the ball hummed to Burden.
